Why We March

One family’s promise. A community moving forward.

We come together to honor the people we love and help build a future without colorectal cancer. What began as a tribute to our mom has grown into a 5K and dog walk powered by families, survivors, friends, and neighbors.

Join us on March 7, 2027 in Millburn, New Jersey.

Our story. Our purpose.

A promise to keep going

March Fourth began in memory of our mom, who died of colon cancer on March 4, 2016. She always told us to keep going. To march forth. Today, her words bring our community together to help end colorectal cancer.

A decade of community impact

More than $450,000 raised. More than 750 participants each year. Every runner, walker, volunteer, donor, and sponsor helps carry this mission forward.

Together, we march fourth

Our annual timed and untimed 5K and separate dog walk welcome neighbors, families, survivors, caregivers, and dogs to South Mountain Reservation in Millburn.

Supporting a shared mission

March Fourth supports the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and its work in awareness, screening, patient and family support, and research.
